They have a beautiful sheen, smooth and soft feeling. Jaldar is a Pakistani design with its roots in the traditional Sarooq and Yamud designs. Jaldar rugs use symmetrical knotting, with piles composed of wool. Piles of Jaldar rugs are composed of wool which gives it a silk touch feel. These rugs are famous for their thick wool pile and beautiful sheen, and the feel of the wool is soft and velvety, with a very dense, Hand-knotted pile. Jaldars are sometimes referred to as Bokharas because of their similar construction and composition of materials to Pakistani Bokharas. The designs in Jaldars are distinct from Bokharas, however, with the guls more angular and diamond-shaped. Jaldar rugs have red to the red-brown background color, white, beige, black and blue are other colors commonly used.
